Test Analyst

Base in Canberra location, working for a federal government agency, our client is currently looking for an experienced Functional/System tester.

RESPONSIBILITY:

The role will be involved in preparing test plan, undertaking testing applications and provide written test results in a timely manner.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES BUT NOT LIMIT TOO:

* Create Test Plans from documentation and meetings with technical and Business staff.
* Identify and document functional and integration testing requirements and write scenarios and scripts to cover that functionality.
* Identify data requirements to satisfy functional test scripts and create, manipulate and maintain test data.
* Execute test scripts and raise defects and issues.
* Create Signoff Reports reflecting the results of testing.
* Provide status reports indicating the progress of testing tasks.
* Participate in the development and delivery of regression test suites via Quality Centre (or demonstrate the ability to learn QC).
* Participate in Quality Assurance reviews and undertake recommended outcomes.
* Acquire a level of technical understanding to ensure testing is comprehensive and relevant for each technical change or enhancement.
* Analyse data, application errors, and general environmental/infrastructure problems found in extracted test data.
* Coach and guide less experienced staff and actively support team training.

EXPERIENCED REQUIRED:

* Testing concepts - including the ability to create Test Plans
* Identify functional and integration testing requirements - including writing test scenarios and scripts
* Identify data requirements - create, manipulate and maintain test data
* Execute and report on testing undertaken
* Develop regression testing.
* Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn to use testing tools such as Quality Centre and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to acquire and retain application and other technical knowledge.
