Job Purpose:
Assist in the build, development and successful implementation of Management Information solutions, for banking client, using a variety of technical resources/methods and available data.
The jobholder is required to provide specialist and advice, analysis and support on the extraction, interpretation and development of customer data.

Knowledge & Expertise
Essentials
*Data structures
*Database - SQL, Data structures (tables, views, stored procedures), Data Transformation (DTS & SSIS), efficiency, normalisation, UNIX and Terradata (Fastload)
*Report Authoring - Cognos, ReportNet, Impromtu, Powerplay Transformer
*Applications - ASP.NET including Visual Basic (VB) and Web Infrastructure

Accountabilities:
*Identify and agree new requirements for UK Retail Bank. These requirements are received across Real Retail for regulatory, new product development and exception reporting.
*Source and test new data feeds. The job holder will be involved in the identification of new sources of information gaining agreement to it's collection and development of associated technical processes to incorporate into existing data marts
*Build, develop & deliver MI solutions in line with business requirements and VBM principles to agreed time, cost & quality criteria
*The role holder will utilize the client's Data Warehousing Services (DWS) to source customer information and use a wide variety of PC applications to manipulate and transpose this information as required by stakeholders.
*Assist in the automation of regular team outputs, ensuring automated solutions are fit for purpose to hand over to MI Production and Delivery team
Testing/Piloting 10%

*Perform necessary testing and validation. Involving end users and others within the UK Retail Bank Team as appropriate to ensure confidence in the outputs
*Train end users as required, these users will be at varying levels in the organisation, often more senior than the role holder
