A highly regarded Federal Government department is looking to engage a TERADATA WAREHOUSE SPECIALIST based in CANBERRA to work on a new, exciting and large-scale project for an initial 6 month contract with 2 x 6 month extensions

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO:

- Undertake a range of complex technical and project-orientated tasks associated with support and development and tuning of physical models/datamarts and Data Warehouse Applications;
- Configure/optimise new technologies that enable cross DWH platform data processing;
- Prepare technical documentation and guidelines relating to SQL efficiencies and best practice DWH application development for technical and business audiences;
- Assist investigation and resolution of complex operational issues involving the data warehouse and related data flows.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS/DEMONSTRATE;

- Experienced in working on a Microsoft platform; Demonstrated understanding of and ability to implement DWH best practic;
- Sound understanding of Teradata security principles including a sound understanding of the types of authentication and access controls in host environments;
- Expert technical expertise and understanding of the Teradata technical architecture, data warehouse operational environment, performance optimisation, data provisioning, ETL processing and reporting, packaging and deployment of Teradata Objects.

This is a highly sought after 6 MONTH CONTRACT with 2 x 6 month extensions available and competitive rates on offer for those who reflect experience and suitability to the requirement.
