Teradata Developer (Remote) Job

TERADATA DEVELOPER (REMOTE) needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in St. Louis, MO. SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST WORK ONSITE IN ST. LOUIS FOR THREE MONTHS AND THEN REMOTELY AFTER THAT.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Work as part of a driven team ensuring existing and new code meets high standards of quality.
- The scope of the role will include testing and fixing defects; developing unit tests and test scripts; performing local development builds, application integration builds and code merges;.
- Be a key contributor in code reviews; performing unit and integration testing; and planning and coordinating implementation activities.
- Sharpen critical thinking skills by assisting with the analysis and review of software requirements by attending, or leading design presentations and/or design sessions.
- Implement complex modules, enhancements, or change requests based on a provided design, and participate in migrating applications to the quality assurance and/or production environment.
- Have the opportunity to develop your leadership potential by mentoring less senior team members on new tasks and assignments.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- Must possess three (3) plus years of experience in Data Warehousing and working in a large scale computing and/or networking environment
- MUST HAVE FIVE (5) PLUS YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH TERADATA AS WELL AS TERADATA TOOLS AND UTILITIES.
- Minimum of three (3) plus years of experience development with ETL tools.
- Minimum of three (3) plus years of experience with SQL and the UNIX operating system
- Must have prior application and database performance tuning experience
- Should be versed in multiple and various programming languages
- Candidate needs to operate from both a big-picture and a tactical viewpoint
- Candidate must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills for technical and non-technical content
- Successful candidates will be both diplomatic and persuasive
- Preferred knowledge and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
- Knowledge and use of Tivoli Workload Scheduler and Informatica is a plus
- Knowledge of SAS and/or SAS tools for ETL development also a plus
