DATA WAREHOUSE DEVELOPER
Job Description:
Work in a team of experienced Data Warehouse developers utilising Teradata RDBMS expertise coupled with IBM OS/390 skills to deliver high quality information solutions to a wide range of business users. This includes work on all phases of the software development life cycle including analysing customer requirements, developing functional and technical specifications, designing, building testing and implementing information solutions. There is a rigorous focus on quality, a requirement for agility and a necessity to work effectively in a busy team. The role requires a strong balance of technical and business focus with a requirement to work closely with business users and significant opportunity to influence change through personal initiative.
Responsibilities
Investigating requirements, producing specifications and designing, developing and implementing Information solutions following AIB development standards
Providing expertise in Database Design especially Relational
Developing, executing and documenting Unit and Integration tests to ensure code is delivered to specification.
Supporting execution of System Testing and User Acceptance Testing including when necessary preparation of required environments.
Achieving highly efficient performance in all solutions.
Implementing solutions to the live environment adhering strictly to standards.
Skills
6 years + Experience in Teradata RDBMS preferably. Other RDBMS (DB2, etc.) is an alternative option.
Detailed SQL experience is required.
Experience in IBM OS/390 and associated tools/technologies (TSO, JCL, etc.) is required.
Must be fully competent in interpreting requirements and designing, unit testing and developing robust information solutions
Solid experience of analysing, understanding and manipulating data.
Must have comprehensive expertise in a software development life cycle
Delivery focussed whilst maintaining quality solutions and data integrity.
Understanding of OLAP beneficial preferably Hyperion Essbase
Resourceful, self starter, strong team player and excellent communication skills
Ability to multi-task on concurrent projects
