Teradata Data Architect
For our prestigious client, we are currently looking fort a Teradata Data Architect
Key tasks:
- Creates, maintains, and enhances Logical and Physical Teradata data models (LDMs and PDMs) consistent with the larger EDW architecture which spans multiple domains and presentation/integration layers
- Creates, reviews, optimizes a rich and varied Semantic data model across physical and virtual implementations through a key understanding of relational database development, the Teradata platform and the various reporting and analytics tools and use cases
- Writes and tunes complex SQL queries on large database systems with deep understanding and specialization in Teradata
- Skilled in, data modelling and tuning, and ensuring an optimum failover, backup and recovery strategy and environment setup including loading and updating strategies
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills with proven ability to work with various members of cross-functional IT and Business teams and help to gather data integration and reporting requirements from multiple business domains and stakeholders
- Works directly with team members and IT leadership to help classify and prioritize work efforts and tasks across technical and business drivers for data warehouse initiatives and projects
