Teradata Big Data Architect

TERADATA BIG DATA ARCHITECT

Huntress Group are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Teradata Big Data, Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse architect. The candidate will take on the role as lead architect for a Big Data & Business Intelligence projects and will be accountable for both long-term enterprise architecture as well as solution architecture. The lead architect will work closely with senior management, project management, IT designers, the business stakeholders, and the developers.

The role is for a minimum 6 months with a view to extend further.

PRIMARY TASKS

- Act as a lead architect in projects
- Establish logical and physical solution architecture
- Evaluate solutions and designs created by partners and suppliers
- Guide and steer solution and architecture work performed by external vendors

SKILLS AND EXPERTISE

- Expert in Big Data and Advanced Analytical solutions, Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse
- Experience establishing analytical echo system where different technologies can unify and process data in the most efficient and specialized way to add the most value Experience of working with external vendors and offshore development
- Excellent ability to present and communicate IT related tasks and solutions to analysts, senior executives as well as to the normal users
- Have excellent communication skills
- Ability to make tough decision
- Drive and strong focus on results
- Structured way of working
- Strategic thinking and ability to quickly grasp and understand decision makers and internal customer needs

QUALIFICATIONS

- A minimum of 5 years' experience with Big Data, Advanced Analytics, Business Intelligence & Data Warehouse solutions
- Experience from technologies: Hadoop, MapReduce, SAS, Teradata, SAP Business Objects, Informatica.
- Fluent in English, written and verbal. Swedish an advantage
