My client a leading Australian employer is looking for a Teradata Technical Specialist to join their team on a contract basis.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

- An extensive knowledge of, and experience with, computer-based analysis and query tools (such as SQL, VBA and Microsoft Excel) in a large data warehouse environment to acquire, manage and analyse large volumes of complex data
- Possess highly-developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to apply appropriate methodologies and practices
- Knowledge of the concepts of data structures, data administration, data warehousing and business systems configuration
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications incorporating data analysis or software development are desirable.
- Experience Optimising physical database/data mart;
- Tuning queries, optimising structures and education;
- Expertise in writing and tuning complex SQL queries in native Teradata SQL;
- Expert technical expertise and understanding of the Teradata technical architecture and data warehouse operational environment, including security and access controls, data provisioning, ETL processing and reporting, packaging and deployment of Teradata Objects;
- Experience in data management and database design;
- Understanding of the principles, practices and techniques of Datamodelling and physical database design;
- Experience in working on a Microsoft platform;
