Tendering Engineer

Job Purpose To produce the most competitive proposal for the company's products and substation projects in compliance with the clients commercial and technical requirements. Essential You will need to have national grid experience as this will be the primary objective. Principal Accountabilities * Review enquiry documents and extract relevant technical and commercial information * Represent the company at client pre-tender meetings * Obtain quotations for equipment, materials and services from the company and external organisations * Liaise with internal departments to obtain man hour and site work estimates * Liaise with commercial and engineering departments to ensure compliance with customer's requirements * Contribute to the companys product development and optimised design solutions * Identifying and grading commercial, engineering and construction risks * Production of cost sheet and tender approval documentation * Participate in tender approval process with senior management * Produce technical offer including scope of supply, technical description, comments, clarifications and deviations * Produce commercial offer including covering letter, price breakdown and commercial comments on terms and conditions, warranty, delivery and payment terms * Produce and issue tender submission package * Represent the company at client pre-tender meetings * Respond to client post-tender queries and represent CG during post-tender negotiations * Prepare handover pack to projects team on contract award and attend project kick-off meeting.
