Temporary Data Manager/Programmer

TEMPORARY DATA MANAGER/PROGRAMME

You will be involved in a variety of national observational studies using patient data from the UK Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Registry. One of your key objectives will be the provision of a final dataset for a range of reports. This will involve cleaning and preparing data for analysis. Working with a range of UK, US and European-based health professionals and academics, you will contribute towards improving the health outcomes of people living with cystic fibrosis.

To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate the following:

- Significant experience of data management eg extract, merge and prepare data; design methods for ensuring validity and reliability
- Proven experience of data programming eg automate data cleaning and verification
- Practical experience of statistical software such as Strata, SAS, or R programming language
- Ability to match algorithms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively deal with a wide range of people
- Ability to work on own and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritise own work in response to challenging deadlines
