Temporary Accounting Assistant III

Position is responsible for a broad spectrum of financial activities with minimal supervision for the General Illumination Financial Customer Service business segment. The main areas of responsibility are as follows: Sales Programs: - Calculate and issue rebates that include but are not limited to HVR, Utility and Promotional programs to Retail Customers based on established contracts - Track, audit and generate billing documents for Retail rebate programs - Periodically review customer quotes to ensure all existing sales programs are known Dispute Resolution: - Research and resolve sales program related deductions taken by retail customers - Issue credits and debits to clear sales program related disputes when appropriate - Create customer chargebacks on a timely basis for payment - Follow up with other departments on status of disputes to ensure timely resolution Qualifications
- Associate's Degree required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. - Two or more years in accounting and/or financial analysis experience - Strong perceptual, analytical, organizational and communication skills - Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word) - Working knowledge of SAP preferred - Interact and effectively communicate with internal (Sales, Corp Credit, Corp A/R and Customer Service) and external customers - Ability to multi task and perform special projects as assigned - Help identify and implement process improvements - Update and maintain process documents - Basic understanding of applications such as Lotus Notes, Vendavo, Sharepoint, PowerPlay, or Impromptu

This position is a temporary position lasting at least 3 months. The selected candidate will receive payroll through an agency. THERE IS A STRONG CHANCE OF THIS POSITION BECOMING PERMANENT.
