DESCRIPTION

Books Are Fun is seeking a regional event coordinator/telemarketer to contact businesses and hospitals to generate new sales events for the company and its independent sales representatives.

This person will work closely with up to 25 independent sales representatives to coordinate and schedule new and/or repeat events, as well as strategize with multiple regional sales managers on territory-specific objectives. The collaboration with regional managers will be centered around seasonal goals, territory goals and individual representative goals.

This person will communicate regularly with clients, independent sales representatives and regional sales managers by utilizing outstanding oral and written communication skills via email and telephone.

Additionally, this person will prioritize weekly workload to appropriately match sales and telemarketing manager goals and objectives, as well as manage additional projects deemed necessary by the Telemarketing Manager.

This is a work from home position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Generate outbound phone calls to existing and potential new clients (corporations, hospitals, medical centers) to schedule appointments and/or book upcoming sales events
- Coordinate with the sales rep-force regarding individual needs (availability dates, level of marketing assistance required, targeted organizations, etc.)
- Work with regional sales managers to formulate regional strategy in specific territories
- Communicate with newly contracted representatives to assist with initial marketing of sales events
- Collaborate with other team members to share best practices
- Attend weekly team conference calls with Telemarketing Manager
- Participate in script development
- Provide detailed weekly summary of accomplishments and outlook for upcoming week
- Provide outstanding customer service to sales representatives, clients and sales managers to professionally represent Books Are Fun in all communications
- Assist multiple regional marketers in territory development when needed
- Work on additional projects as assigned by the Telemarketing Manager
- Develop ever-changing weekly strategy and adapt to seasonal trends and needs
- Work closely with database manager to ensure account statuses are up to date and accurate
- Provide clients with event promotional materials as requested

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Microsoft Office proficiency (MS Excel, Outlook and Word)
- Ability to learn and use new software as needed (proprietary)
- Minimum 2 years phone marketing experience or industry comparable experience
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organization skills and ability to multitask, shift territory priorities and be flexible with seasonal trends

KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES:

- Quantity of booked events
- Quantity of set appointments
- Sales averages from booked events
- Willingness to assist other team members and take on additional projects as assigned
- Effective collaboration between sales managers, reps and telemarketing manager to develop regional marketing strategies that contribute to net event growth
- Overall contribution to regional event growth

SALARY:

$12 per hour plus commission and opportunity for seasonal bonus
