Telecoms RAN Design Engineer

Flint Consulting currently has vacancies for the position of RAN Design Engineer based in Dublin. This a a contract position, with a duration of 6 months+.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The role purpose is the design, dimensioning and documentation of new and amended networks, platforms and related systems in the RAN area. The design specifications will be carried out in accordance with agreed international standards and strategic policies. Key indicators of success are the quality, operational efficiency, usability and cost of ownership of the resulting solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- To ensure that the overall solution design meets best telecommunications technology practices.
- To plan and manage the delivery of small or sub- projects in line with customer standard project management guidelines
- To ensure agreement of the scope of requirements with all stakeholders
- Together with the integration engineers, to complete the design, lab testing and manage the execution of production tests, in accordance with the test strategy.
- To ensure that the needs of end-users and customer operational support are addressed in detailed designs

REQUIREMENTS:

- 5+ years working in mobile telecommunications in an operator or vendor environment.
- Extensive experience of RAN.
