Telecoms Project Manager - WAN, WLAN, LAN, MPLS, Voice, IP Telephony

My global telecoms company is looking for a customer facing Senior Project Manager, operating within the Service Management Team located at the customer site.

The Senior Project Manager has the responsibility to lead, manage and control assigned projects and activities related to one or two major initiatives. The Senior Project Manager is required to coordinate with all parties and participants involved in the project, plan the schedule, manage project resources, manage completion milestones, identify and manage risks, coordinate implementation with change control team and multiple work centers, effectively communicate with the team, and use analytical skills to identify trends. Work closely with SMT design engineer, client technical teams, 3rd party vendors and other internal teams. Maintain project status provided systems and provide regular reporting to all the parties.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Transition management or Transformation management experience
- Experience in working in an outsourced or managed services environment
- Extensive Project Management experience with network/telecommunications projects
- Experience with Infrastructure Project delivery with strong experience in Voice, IP Telephony, WLAN, LAN, WAN and Data Centre Network Infrastructure
- Sound technical awareness of data networking and telecommunications industry standards, products and Ability to work within a virtual global team
- Experience in working in a large Global Multinational organizations
- Business and commercial skills
- Interpersonal skills - communication and negotiation
- A flexible, innovative approach, coupled with a can do attitude
- Excellent knowledge of Project management methodology, techniques and tools
