Railway Telecoms Engineer

One of the UK's leading consultancies is seeking a Railway Telecoms Senior Design Engineer to join it's team based in Yorkshire.

The areas that you will be involved in and will need experience of will include the following:

Transmission FTN spec

Cable Networks (Fibre and Copper).

Lineside Operational Communications.

Radio Systems (GSMR, CSR, NRN)

Telephone Concentrators/PBX

Power and Earthing

Signalling Scheme Plans

Train describer interfaces

Box to Box Emergency alarms

SCADA

Safety Approvals and compliance

Stage working: Design/Install/Testing and Commissioning Retails SISS systems CIS, PA, CCTV and system changes.

As a Railway Telecoms Senior Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that all design and construction activities are carried out in accordance with railway standards and project requirements.

You will be responsible for the design of and overseeing railway operational telecommunications projects and therefore have extensive experience in working as a Senior Railway Telecoms Design Engineer on similar projects.

It is essential for you to have experience in the above systems that interface with the operational railway infrastructure in the UK. To be considered for this role you must have previous experience of working on similar projects on UK railway within a telecommunications discipline.
