Telecommunications Technician

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a TELECOMMUNICATIONS TECHNICIAN to join our client in San Diego, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Installation, modification, testing and servicing of telecommunications equipment in a corporate environment
- Daily Move's, Add's, and Change's on the PBX, Voicemail, and ACD, as well as other ancillary equipment.
- Provide tier one support on all desktop telecommunications equipment as assigned by the Trouble Resolution Tracking system.
- Set up Audio/Visual equipment for meetings and functions required by the business for day to day meetings.
- Maintain data centers, wiring closets, and cabling infrastructure.
- Perform daily and weekly system health checks.
- Procure and inventory telecommunications equipment stock.
- Order, configure and issue cellular, air card, and Blackberry equipment.
- Flexible schedule allowing maintenance during off-peak hours (late evening and weekend as necessary).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum Education Required: High School
- Minimum Experience Required: (including years of experience) three (3) years
- Licenses/Certifications Required/Preferred: Nortel Certifications Preferred
- MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 50LBS
- Ability to engage with people at all levels of the organization in order to gather information and deliver proper service levels.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audience
- Certification or hands-on experience or administration of the following systems:
- Nortel PBX Systems (11c through 81c)
- NEC2000
- Call Pilot Voicemail
- Aspect ACD
- NICE Loggers Version 8.9
- Polycom Video Conferencing equipment
- Software/Systems Skills Required/Preferred:
- Word
- Excel
- Project
- Powerpoint
- Visio
