Telecommunications Project Manager/Scheduler Job

TELECOMMUNICATIONS PROJECT MANAGER needed for a LONG-TERM CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Littleton, CO. This position has the potential to become permanent.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Two (2) Senior Project Management roles working on-site at a major telecom client in Littleton.
- Master Project Scheduler:
- Provides consultative Project Management working directly with the client.
- Provides internal support in a Sr. Project Management role.
- Maintain 2000+ line MS Project Plan Version 2010 and 2007, including baseline, variances, resource, Gantt chart, tracking of % complete/changes in effort/due dates
- Deliver updated Project Plan within very short timelines.
- Export reports from MS Project 2010 - (most reports will be in PDF or Excel format)
- Contact task owners (internal and at customer) to get updates on their tasks
- Complete Schedule Dashboards - for Program Manager/Program Integrator
- Escalate to Program Manager/Program Integrator when Project Plan tasks at risk/delayed
- Maintain excel spreadsheets of the Project Plan, with key dates
- Managing task inputs from multiple workstreams in MS Project
- Release Manager:
- Client-focused role. Must have strong customer service skills and be able to do the consultative approach.
- Must have Release Management experience over software development projects/testing cycles
- Track all Customer IT deliverables for a phase of the overall solution
- Work with Customer to identify risks and issues with delivering phase per defined dates
- Work with Customer to resolve actions and issues.
- Complete program documentation as required
- Interact with Solution Support Project Manager as needed to prepare for handover to support.
- Ensure changes in client milestones/dates/feature churn is communicated both ways.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- Eight to ten (8-10) years in telecommunications Project Management
- Expert in MS Project 2010 and 2007
- Expert in MS Excel 2010 and 2007.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external program team members
- Able to work independently and meet strict delivery dates
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies;
- Candidates with non-competes that would prevent candidate from working at client not eligible.
- Intermediate knowledge of Operating Support System Solutions
- Ability to work with both internal and customer program team members
- Must be willing to learn and be independent of direct management.

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:

- PMP certification
- Agile is a plus
