Telecommunications Engineer Job

TELECOMMUNICATIONS ENGINEER III needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Greenwood Village, CO.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Designs, develops, implements, maintains, and enhances telecommunication networks, systems and equipment.
- Analyzes existing networks and equipment and identifies opportunities for improvement.
- Develops solutions that meet business requirements.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
- Responsible for the day-to-day design, planning, and management of telephony transport and network functions, including tasks related to transport planning management, design, forecast, diagram/drawing creation, and capacity management and control; network diversity planning, network maintenance, routing, mapping, capacity/traffic issue resolutions, and cost/budget adherence.
- Responsible for planning, discovery, design, and testing/certification of E911 network.
- Ensures contact with PSAPs to discover network termination requirements, contact information, and routing needs.
- Independently develops solutions to challenges encountered as resolves routine-to-complex issues.
- Creates and maintains SOPs and MOPs.
- Works independently with minimal-to-no supervision while also demonstrating the ability to lead projects and initiatives autonomously; assigns tasks and drives projects to completion.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Possesses advanced-to-expert working knowledge of telephony principles for the PE Sustained
- Engineering functions for which they are assigned to support
- Strong working knowledge of all functional disciplines within the PE Sustained Engineering department, including capacity management, translations and routing, code administration, ordering and test and turn-up.
- MetaSolv experience is strongly preferred.
- Must have experience with 911 from end to end.
- This resource should have 5-10 years experience in the field.
