Based at the refinery located in El Segundo CA, work as part of a team to provide Data Network and Telecommunications support to campus offices and production facilities. Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment to provide technical support with the installation, configuration, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of telecommunications, network, and associated equipment.

Primarily equipment includes: Infrastructure Cabling (fiber, copper, coax), IP Telephony devices, Switches, and Routers. Additional responsibilities will include on-call support for telecom as needed for the refinery and production sites and the able to effectively manage time and adjust priorities to meet deadlines and SLAs.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Provide data network installation and support services including Router and LAN switch configuration installation, and maintenance.
- Provide telephone installation and support services including connection and voice mail setup.
- Perform troubleshooting and MAC support for all data/telecom equipment.
- Diagnose, test, repair cable/wiring problems (wiring closet to desktop; and backbone).
- Work with Third Party Vendors and NOC to isolate and resolve communications circuit troubles.
- Troubleshoot network performance issues and works with the global operation engineer on resolution.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of network communications equipment.
- Use knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help install and maintain internal and external networks.
- Use Cross Functional ticketing system (Remedy) for reporting, documenting, and tracking problems as well as internal billing and inventory control.
- Provide on-call after hours trouble support on rotating basis; some weekend work.
- Tools, laptop, cell phone and vehicle provided.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Five plus years in Network/Telecom support experience
- Experience with Voice Over IP, Voicemail Systems, Remedy, Cisco Call Manager, and Unity Connection a plus
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; move material in cart
- Possible overnight travel may be required
- Ability to climb, bend, stoop, walk and stand for long periods of time
- Use of hand tools, computer, electrical circuit testing equipment
- Excellent driving record
- High School diploma or GED
