Telecom IT Solution Architect

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

- Acting as application architect, with responsibilities on both the application and technical architecture.
- Define the integration strategy and integration architecture guiding principles and determine which integration capabilities are to be implemented (eg, service-oriented architecture, web services, shared object model, business process integration, business activity monitoring, portals, trading partner management, etc).
- Based on the integration requirements and client's overall technical architecture guiding principles, perform a application selection for the integration architecture components.
- Work with the application designer to create a high-level design of an end-to-end integration solution
- Based on the activity and data flow diagrams, create an inventory of all cross-application interactions or interfaces, also referred to as business events or messages.
- Facilitate joint application design sessions with the interfacing application teams to ensure cross-team communication and collaboration.
- Validate that the integration solution and integration architecture designs utilize the integration architecture components appropriately.
- Work closely with the technical architecture team to ensure that the operations architecture incorporates support for managing and maintaining the integration architecture and the integration solutions in a production environment. Leverage knowledge and expertise in the integration architecture for understanding how best to configure and/or integrate with the integration packages to best meet the client's operational requirements.

Requirement:

- 15+ years experience in a large Information Technology and/or Telecommunication vendor organizations with proven experience partnering with business operations in support of managing complex, multi-year, multi-vendor and multi-location projects and programs;
- Track records on IT Transformation and/or solution design Telecom IT applications such ERP, BI, Business Support System (BSS), Operation Support System (OSS), IPTV and/or SDP for Top 5 Telecom operators is preferred;
- Experience implementing enterprise integration architectures
- Experience designing integration solutions
- Experience or knowledge of service-oriented design concepts
- Experience or knowledge of service-oriented architectures
- Deep knowledge of Telecom IT applications and technologies
- Ability to define and communicate the "big picture" in terms of the overall integration solution (both functional and technical components) and break it down into smaller manageable work units with sub-contractors.
- Security Policy and Data modelling skills preferred
- Master of English language, on almost the same terms as a native speaker; able to engage in complex business and technical discussions fluently; able to write and present in English fluently.
- Strong people skill with proven abilities to mentor and empower others to achieve the next level of expertise.
- Willingness to travel and relocate based on project location
