Projektbeschreibung
Telecom Infrastructure Solution Head with Data Center and Managed IT services experience required for a large Telecoms project in South Africa.
The candidate is expected to lead a large multi-country infrastructure transformation project and interact with the CXOs, the Chief Architects of the target organization, internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels
The candidate is expected to own the technical solution for the consolidation of infrastructure and work on advising the delivery organization on aligning the IT Service delivery across multiple centres post transformation. As part of the solution, the candidate is expected to own the Architecture and High Level Design. The candidate should be able to review such solutions and interact with OEM vendors for optimizing the solution.
In the longer run, the candidate is expected to provide solutions and roadmap of implementation for the client's strategic initiatives.
There could be frequent short-term travels to various client locations in other countries within the African continent.
Key Experience and Skills
- Infrastructure experience with strong exposure to end to end solution design for infrastructure for medium to large customers, preferably for large Telecomms organizations.
- Excellent Knowledge of Application Infrastructure (H/W, Operating Systems, Database, Middleware, Network & Security, High Availability)
- Must have exposure to medium/large data center environments.
- Must have exposure to Data Center Components - Facilities Components & Technology Components within Data Center.
- Must have proven experience in HW Sizing (Compute, Storage, Network)
- Must have proven experience in Backup, Recovery and Disaster Management design and planning
- Must have proven experience in SAN and/or NAS storage system design, implementation and management
- Must have exposure to various High Availability technologies/concepts
- Apply proven, high level security management and analysis to enforce compliance with Infrastructure/Network/Information Security/Application Security laws, rules and regulations
- Must be able to work based on the inputs from various stake holders such as Architects, solution designers/ISV SMEs and Data Center teams, to design overall infrastructure architecture for customer environments
