PROJECT MANAGER FOR RESTRUCTURING PROJECT
(Must have previous Telco restructuring experience)
Job description and required skill profile
MAIN TASKS/ACTIVITIES:
- Project management for the whole project, reporting to the Client Partner
- Management of project content and the quality of deliverables for the project at whole
- Coordination of tasks, priorities and milestones for the project with the Interim Managers Commercial (CCO), Finance (CFO), Operations (COO), HR (CHRO) and Strategy (CSO) within regular Executive Committee meetings
- Coordination of tasks, priorities and milestones for the project with the Leaders in Commercial, Finance, Operations, HR and Strategy areas within regular Stream Leader meeting
- Assuring and consolidation of project reporting out of the Work Streams, creation of project management report based on
- Creation of reporting presentations
- Time planning, coordination and presentation of content of the documents
- Update, adjustment and monitoring of the project master plan
- Reporting of project status and project KPI's towards project controlling
- Overall time and risk management for the restructuring project
- Escalation management within the overall project, collaboration with Assignment/Client Partner of the project
- Reporting of project status
- Fulfilling the tasks as strategic advisor to the PCA together with the Assignment/Client Partner
- Monitoring and maintaining the governance model
- Preparation of submissions to facilitate the decision making process for the restructuring project
- Maintaining contact and communication with decision makers in the Telecommunications, Economy and Finance Ministries
JOB PREREQUISITES:
- Degree in Economics and/or Business Administration specializing in strategy and/or business development and/or Finance. Possible as well is a degree in Engineering and/or Communication Technology when combined with working experience in a similar function.
- Broad experience and expertise in telecommunication business and technologies, high-tech products and communication infrastructure
MORE THAN 7 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN TELCO STRATEGIES, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, RESTRUCTURING AND TURNAROUND MANAGEMENT WITHIN THE TELECOMMUNICATION INDUSTRY
- Reliable project references for similar projects outside of Europe
- Extensive product and market knowledge of the international telecommunications market with a particular focus on the African/Angolan market
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong telco business background in the telecommunication industry (with respect to fixed and wireless telco operators)
- Experience in telco service portfolio, telco operations, telco organization and processes expertise concerning the telecommunications value chain
- Understanding of technology, products, services and market trends in the telecommunication market worldwide and in Africa
- Strong managerial and leadership skills, good motivational skills and drive to manage the teams
- Good knowledge of contracting, negotiating and change management
- Conceptual and business analytical skills
- Ability to develop financial plans and budgets
- Ability to analyse and interpret financial data
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Very strong sense of customer centricity and orientation
