TELCO - CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER - CFO

JOB DESCRIPTION:

THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THE CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO) (Interim Management, later Shadow Management) is the development, implementation and adjustment of finance organization and processes. Core objective of the job is manage and coordinate all financial functions in such a way that is able to achieve its strategic goals and become financially self-sustainable. The CFO shall ensure financial management and efficiency in alignment with other C-level management.

MAIN TASKS/ACTIVITIES:

Responsible for strategic business planning to facilitate fiscal discipline.

Budgeting, Finance Planning, Handling Tax matters, Preparing annuals business plans and budgets.

Responsible for strategic business planning to facilitate fiscal discipline.

Analysis and monitoring of monthly, annual corporate and statutory accounts.

Working Capital and fund management.

All legal compliance.

Overall supervision of the finance and administration functions.

Fund management (receipts, payments, cash and bank transactions, cash and fund flow etc.)

Internal and statutory audit, quarterly and yearly balance sheet.

Project-related financial planning,

Financial coordination among organization units.

Taxation.

Liaison with banks and other organizations.

General office administration.

Closing of Accounts as per.

Coordinating with Internal and External Auditors.

MIS and other reports; Implementation of IS.

Implementing Financial systems and processes across the chain.

Developing additional Finance & Accounting Policies and Procedures.

Developing Short-term, Medium-term & Long-term Financial Planning.

Negotiating Short-term & Long-term finance Facilities from Banks/Financial Institution and Ministerial bodies.

Preparation & Analysis of Consolidated Financial Statements.

Managing Working Capital Requirements.

Preparing Management Accounting summaries & reports for the Executive Management.

Ensuring Uniform Charter of Accounts.

Responsible for Financial Integration of all modules of ERP System including Financial Business Analysis for deciding the financial closing, security checks in the systems, access to the different users for financial information through the system including access to financial reports.

Conducting & monitoring the Periodic meetings of Executive Management for discussion/approval of Business Plans, Budgets & Financial Statement of Group Companies.

Responsible for the filing of Annual Returns including Annual Report of the Holding and its subsidiaries to the Ministry of Telecommunication and Economy.

Financial Reporting.

Budgeting & Variance analysis.

Ensure proper management of funds through preparation of monthly & weekly cash flow forecasts.

Ensure Optimum inventory management & commercial support to business.

Ensure adherence to Standard Procedures

More than 5 years of relevant leadership experience and employees motivation

Experience in managing ERP implementation

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Strong managerial background in finance;

Fluency in Portuguese and English, both oral and written

Experience in developing countries (African experience preferred)

Goal oriented mindset, can-do attitude combined with mentoring and training skills

Resilient and stress-resistant

Willingness to stay in Angola for > 1 year

Willingness to travel occasionally within Angola

Excellent interpersonal skills

Strong ability to motivate teams and simultaneously direct several projects

Very strong sense of customer centricity and orientation

MANDATORY:

EXCELLENT PROFESSIONAL WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION IN PORTUGUESE AND ENGLISH
