My client is a leading Finance house, currently in the market for a strong service focused Ops analyst. You will be responsible for the day to day technical support of business services. The main focus of this role is to support this managed service agreement to ensure the quality of the service is in line with business expectations and requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Act as a point of contact and escalation for the Technology Recovery team
- Act as a point of contact to core and enabling suppliers of operational services.
- Support the purpose and ambitions of Technology provision,
- Support the operational technology provision to (internal) customers ensuring fit for purpose and working as designed
- Promoting and maintaining a consumer focused approach, ensuring technology provision is easy to engage with.
- Ensure appropriate governance is applied across all operational processes and disciplines
- Support the management of the Technical Recovery team through the governance framework
- Provides business impact and recovery timelines to the Technical Recovery team to ensure minimal disruption to business services
- Work with specialists to ensure support is provided to the Technical Recovery team as required so that an appropriate level of service can be provided in line with the business and IT requirement.
- Service interruption actively managed through to resolution and root cause investigated.
- Trends and issues identified through analysis of system and process performance data, and action taken to resolve these.
- Processes are defined and maintained to ensure the level of service in accordance with best practice, audit, compliance, and risk.
- Management information produced and reports provided as input to governance boards and other forums in order to analyse the service provided.
- Identify, assess and support the management of technology risk occurring from a technology operations perspective
- Understand and where appropriate participate in the assessment of risk surrounding changes to the operating environment

KEY SKILLS:

- Experience of supporting business applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.
- Able to demonstrable ability to facilitate cross functional team working.
- Proven ability to influence at various levels of seniority
- Can demonstrate an analytical approach in the management of complex issues.
- Experience of working with Excel and Microsoft Office products
- Experience gained from working in an IT environment.
- Familiarity with industry standard IT methodologies, project approach and standards.
- Specialist knowledge or experience of specifically application management disciplines. (desirable)
- Appropriate professional accreditation for applications and supplier management in IT (eg ITIL)
- Good understanding of IT policies and processes that exist in an industry standard framework
