Technology Assistant - Data QualityAnnual Salary - £16,443 - £21,734 Full Time - 37 Hours Per Week 12 month Fixed Term Contract Role based in Chelmsford, Essex

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Analyze core data to identify quality gaps and enhance the data quality in current systems

As part of script/monitoring process, a database will be used to extract data to assure and help identify exceptions in data quality so that the data quality analysts can identify and resolve data issues in production

The exceptions reports shall be given to the data quality team for assessment, and where able, change the data in the source system(s).

KEY FUNCTIONS

- Importing, cleaning, transforming, validating or modelling data with the purpose of understanding or making conclusions from the data for decision making purposes
- Add results of the analysis in reports
- Utilize data profiling and data quality tools, as well as various data sources, to uncover and determine root causes of data quality issues
- Work closely with data owners to resolve data quality issues
- Identify and leverage opportunities to continually improve the quality of data management systems, processes, and standards
- Take a hands-on approach to data cleansing

KEY HARD SKILLS

- Experience in computer science, technology, statistics, information systems or relational database design and development
- Experience using SQL server
- Willingness to learn new technologies to best solve data quality problems
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Work independently and with others; self-directed and results-oriented
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)

Any successful applicant to this post would be appointed on a fixed term contract.
