Job description Technology Architect Big Data
You will be responsible for:
- Pioneering the delivery of solution based on Big Data technology and capturing the experience in re-usable assets;
- Leading the definition, implementation, assessment and support of world-class information technology architectures for Big Data applications;
- Utilizing Accenture's global network and expertise to ensure delivery of top-level quality;
- Developing new IT frameworks and delivery approaches and methods;
- Developing relationships with technology vendors.

You will be based in Accenture's Amsterdam offices, but will be expected to regularly travel across Europe.

Qualifications Technology Architect Big Data
- Master´s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a similar field;
- 1-2 years of experience with Open Source technology;
- 2-5 years of experience in architecting, designing, implementing or assessing IT architectures and applications;
- Clear and demonstrable interest in Big Data technology;
- Broad understanding of a wide range of technologies and a deep understanding in one or more technologies related to Big Data, preferably in custom architectures and in languages like Java, Python and Ruby;
- Creative and energetic with an obvious interest in leading-edge technology and with a strong drive to continuously develop yourself in the field of Big Data;
- Highly developed evaluation skills, the ability to assess the potential impact of emerging technologies and strong presentation skills;
- Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment;
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Preferred skills (one or more of the following skills) Technology Architect Big Data
- Minimum 1 year of building and coding applications using Hadoop components - HDFS, Hbase, Hive, Sqoop, Flume etc.;
- Minimum 1 year of coding Java MapReduce, Python, Pig programming, Hadoop Streaming, HiveQL;
- Minimum 1 year implementing relational data models;
- Minimum 1 year understanding of traditional ETL tools
- Minimum 1 years of experience in architecting, designing, implementing or assessing IT architectures and applications related to Big Data technology;
- Full life cycle Development;
- Experience leading teams;
- Industry experience (Financial Services, Resources, Healthcare, Government, Products, Communications, High Tech);
- Experience with IT delivery life-cycle planning and management methodologies and tools;
- Ability to propose innovative technology solutions within the constraints of large-scale enterprises, and take the lead in implementing and evaluating these solutions;
- Experience in common architecture frameworks and services, including those available from Open Source communities.
