Technician III

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a TECHNICIAN III to join our client in Los Angeles, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for engineering activities required to support the development and qualification testing of components and systems in the Engineering Test Lab (ETL).
- Reports to Engineering Test Lab Manager and interfaces with all departments (internal) and with customers.
- With limited supervision perform diversified test operations to build intricate, large and small components to precise specification requirements.
- Make basic test setups with limited supervision for hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, vibration and environmental tests based on QTP figures, schematics or engineering instructions.
- Maintain and complete required documentation, such as test logs and data sheets.
- Communicate test results and anomalies to the lead technician, ETL Manager and responsible engineer in a timely manner.
- Assemble basic development and production hardware based on blue prints, route sheets or engineering instructions.
- Use a variety of precision measuring instruments, gauges, VI's, and test equipment to verify proper function and operation of assemblies.
- Utilize hand tools, fixtures, pneumatic, and power tools for the assembly and test of components.
- Work with minimal supervision and assistance from more experienced technicians.
- Completed work is inspected by leader.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- High School Diploma.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience and knowledge electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical principles in a manufacturing environment.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

- Aerospace experience preferred.
- Outside lab experience, including setup for EMI/HIRF (Lightning, Cable Injection, Magnetic Effects), Acceleration, Vibration, Shock and Environmental (Salt Fog, Sand and Dust, Icing) preferred.
- Experience with FAA setup conformity and functional testing off-site preferred.
