Technician

Manufacturing Technician needed for a leading oilfield product manufacturing company in Houston, TX. This position can be either long term contract or direct based on candidate preference and salary is commensurate with experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Analyzes shop floor production problems and assists in practical solutions
- Collects data, and analyze shop floor studies on subject matter such as cold deformation, stress relief, and phosphate processes
- Conducts tooling and tool life studies and recommends methods for improvement
- Performs troubleshooting process for manufacturing operations
- Assist department engineers in all phases of the design, development, production, testing, installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment, tools, and industrial machinery

REQUIREMENTS

- Associate of Arts Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years minimum experience in industrial manufacturing
- General tooling knowledge as it pertains to machining of metal
- Electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, machine repair, rigging, installation experience preferred
- PLC programming and troubleshooting / Automation experience / robotic experience preferred
- Experience in CNC machining techniques or pipe manufacturing/finishing industry preferred
