Technician

Client on the Southern Seacoast of New Hampshire seeks to add a highly skilled technician to their staff. The ideal candidate has responsibility for component balance, assembly, and final production balance of rotor assemblies. This position will also rebuild and upgrade field returned hardware to support existing customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- 1.Assemble turbine rotors from components, following assembly and quality control procedures
- 2.Support component and final turbine rotor assembly balance in order to meet production schedules.
- 3.Teardown, evaluate, and rebuild field returned rotor assemblys to support customers
- 4.Support gearbox component balance requirements to meet production schedules
- 5.Help develop improved balance processes and procedures to optimize and reduce production balance times
- 9.Provide back-up capability for precision assembly / disassembly of microturbine rotor assemblies for field service, production, and development.

REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum High School Diploma / Associate degree in Engineering or 2 yrs. technical school preferred
- Experience in aircraft engine maintenance, precision high speed machinery assembly or machine shop experience with previous balance experience a plus.
- 5 years working with high precision mechanical assembly and knowledge of precision measurement techniques required.
- Strong mathematical skills
