Technical Writer - Multiple Roles - June 2013 Contract

A fantastic opportunity has become available for experienced Technical Writers within a Government Department for a long-term contract role.

- JUNE 2013 CONTRACT

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop a strategy and plan for developing user documentation for web based ICT systems;
- Develop the structure and content of user documentation;
- Assist the development of training material; and
- Support a team with preparing material that will assist business change.

SKILLS:

- Demonstrated effective strategic planning, management and leadership skills within a high profile project with tight deadlines;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people with a strong client focus;
- Previous experience in designing and developing user documentation for a complex ICT System;
- Knowledge of technical writing methodologies or approaches;
- Technical writing qualifications; and
- Experience in developing training material.
