MY DUTIES:

-Support customer with standardization, documentation and clean-up of network monitoring and alerting
-Review the defined alerts and associated SOPs
-Together with the respective Network Engineers you rework/rewrite SOPs for avoidance or fast, efficient resolution of incidents
-Collaborate with network engineers to fine-tune the desired thresholds for when alarms should be generated
-Update SOPs and train our NOC staff on how to handle those alerts
-Create general guidelines/best practices for alerting or thresholding
-Identify opportunities for (semi-)automated reaction to detected fault events

MY QUALIFICATIONS:

-Operational experience with large-scale heterogeneous networks
-Experience with devices and technologies from vendors such as Cisco, Arista, F5 (ideally some certifications available)
-Experience with CA Spectrum, CA Performance Center, HPE Network Automation, ThousandEyes
-Documentation, Presentation and Coaching/Teaching skills
-Experience with automation and scripting
