Technical Writer (m/f)

MY DUTIES:

-Write and update end User Documentation and Service Documentation in English for medical devices and software while respecting project requirements and documentation standards
-Plan, develop, organize and edit operational procedures for user and service documentation
-Independently collect information required to produce the documents
-Cooperate closely with documentation managers, service personnel, trainers, developers and other subject matter experts
-Organize documentation reviews by subject matter experts, and implement their input
-Ensure that quality targets, timelines and regulatory requirements are respected
-Contribute to frequent discussions aimed at the continuous improvement of processes and guidelines

MY QUALIFICATIONS:

-Proven experience in technical writing for software applications, preferably in a strong regulated working environment
-Familiarity with laboratory systems and environments
-Apprenticeship and/or undergraduate degree in an electrical, mechanical, information technology or linguistic discipline; a further education e.g. in technical documentation is a plus
-Excellent spoken and written command of English, good command of German (spoken)
-Ability to quickly learn about complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text, pictures and/or videos
-Ability to communicate in an international environment and motivate colleagues from other departments
-Proven experience with Adobe FrameMaker (structured) or a similar authoring tool
-Experience with Schema ST4 or a comparable content management system
-Familiarity with software development processes
-Experience with iterative/agile software development methods, such as scrum, is an advantage
-Enthusiasm about technical writing
