TECHNICAL WRITER needed for a CONTRACT job opportunity with Yoh's client located in Santa Clara, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Develop and deliver technical publications, in PDF and Web Help formats, plus other Web content that enables customers to install and manage their networks using the company's software.
- Research, design, create, and maintain clear, accurate and professional documentation, including: command references, configuration guides, developer guides, and other material as directed.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other writers to ensure documentation meets both product and customer requirements, and is delivered on time with high quality in multiple formats.
- Responsible for writing original content, reviewing the content of others, and project-managing your tasks to successful completion.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Six (6+) years professional technical writing experience in the computer software industry, with emphasis on command references, configuration guides, and other reference and task-oriented material.
- Expert knowledge of publishing systems and tools, including FrameMaker, ePublisher, Acrobat, WebWorks, Word.
- Experience in networking technology and protocols.
- Ability to read C programming language code.
- Technically savvy, with a strong background working as part of an engineering team.
- A. or B.S. in Computer Science, English, Technical Writing, or a comparable area
