Technical Writer III

Yoh has a one (1) year contract opportunity for a TECHNICAL WRITER III to join our client in Galesburg, MI.

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Our client, an American-based global diversified power management company is a leading provider of electrical components and systems for power quality, distribution and control. They also provides hydraulics components, systems and services for industrial and mobile equipment; aerospace fuel, hydraulics and pneumatic systems for commercial and military use; and truck and automotive drivetrain and powertrain systems for performance, fuel economy, and safety.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintaining and modifying existing technical manuals.
- May participate in the writing of new operation and maintenance manuals, online web based documents and technical publications. Organizes and analyzes source materials such as design and test specifications, design diagrams, and schematics.
- Completes tasks with input from Technical Writing Team Lead. Work is project oriented and actual tasks must be defined by employee.

Job Qualifications:

- B.S. Degree
- Four (4) plus years or equivalent
- Ability to understand and articulate the Eaton's technical requirements and translate their requirements into technical documentation
- Must have experience with FrameMaker publishing software
- Must be familiar with Adobe Illustrator

Preferred Job Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

- Knowledge in Captivate software is a plus
- Automotive industry experience is a plus
