Job Title: Technical Writer

Start Date: 2/3/14

End Date: 8/30/14

Scope of the project:
Develop and revise policy and procedure and training materials related to the implementation of ICD-10 coding. Work will occur with a managed care health plan claims administration department. Technical writer will translate business process maps
Into desktop level procedures using industry standard techniques.
Into materials suitable for effective training presentations

Requirements:

Appropriate working experience and certification demonstrating understanding of technology requirements
Expert in RoboHelp, the complete Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Visio) and Captivate 5 and higher to capture and develop interactive simulations/demonstrations
Excellent interview and analytical skills along with a working understanding document publication life cycles
Experience working in a health care environment (claims processing or high volume transaction desired)
Strong communication and team collaboration
Focus on customer and adaptability to different target audiences
Ability to multi-task, shift priorities and manage competing timelines.

Top daily responsibilities:
Collaboration with ICD-10 program management on the development of time sensitive training documentation deliverables
Visio process flow analysis and conversion into desktop level training aids suitable to adult learners
Analysis of existing training aids and documentation for revision with updates procedures, screen shots, graphics and detailed step-by-step instructions
Reviewing documentation with target audience and modifying for effective large scale use
Participating in technical design and business review sessions to collect and consolidate complex information for translation
