Technical Writer (European CE Standards Knowledge) Job

TECHNICAL WRITER NEEDED for a SHORT TERM CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY with Yoh's ELECTRONICS MANUFACTURING client located in SAN JOSE, CA.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Good proof reading and word documentation skills
- Knowledge of working within manuals which conform to CE MARK, OR FORMERLY EC MARK (compliance withEUROPEAN UNION LEGISLATIONof a product) CONFORMITY STANDARDS

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Technical Writer will create documents such as but not limited to User Manuals, Installation on Maintenance Manuals, Datasheet, etc. for both internal personnel and customers.
- Technical Writer will update existing technical documents to reflect hardware or procedure changes to ensure documented materials are up-to-date and to create multiple versions of documents dependent upon audience and/or user community.
- Technical Writer will Collaborate and interact with various Engineering groups to gather the necessary information to create the documents and training materials.
- Understand the architecture of computer systems in order to identify system components, the interaction of the various system components and assembly workflows.
- Internal engineering technical & regulatory documentations support
- Adding information to technical documentation
- Separate technical specifications and user manual into separate documents
- RED LINE REMOVAL FROM DOCUMENTS FROM ENGINEERING

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Prior experience working as a Technical writer in Electronics manufacturing or related industries.
- Must be able to show samples of related previous works
- Ability to work with technical resources to create clear and usable product documentation for end users.
- Proactive, team oriented and results driven mindset
