Technical Writer - Contract - Minneapolis

A leading medical device company, located in Minnesota, is in need of a Technical Writer to support manufacturing and supplier development. The company specializes in developing innovative cardiovascular devices that will increase patient care.

The Technical Writer will have the following responsibilities:

- Convert current XML based incoming inspection documentation to a new format based on engineering mark ups
- Provide general support for projects requiring new or updated XML based manufacturing documentation
- Provide general support for projects requiring updates to Word based documentation
- Create and update XML based manufacturing documentation using existing formats based on engineering mark ups and direct observation
- Create and update MS Word based medical device documentation

The Technical Writer must meet the following requirements:

- B.S.
- Experience with XML documentation (editing, formatting, tagging and publishing)
- Experience using MS Word (editing, formatting and styles)

Nice to have

- Experience using EPIC software of XML based documentation
- Experience writing and controlling documentation in a highly regulated industry
- Experience manipulating and editing photos for use as graphics
- Experience using MS Excel

This is a 12 month contract. The rate is $35-$35/hour. Please apply now if interested.
