BACKGROUND: My client, an international bank based in Luxembourg is looking for a Technical Writer to update processes and to write a User Guide for the software product, Alfresco (an enterprise content management system for documents, web, records, images, and collaborative content development).
TASKS:
The role involves updating processes and writing a User Guide for the Alfresco software product, ie proof-reading input, writing drafts, setting up review cycles (including chasing subject specialists to review documents and solving conflicts of interest between reviewers) and finalising texts within very tight deadlines.
SKILLS:
Expertise in writing IT documentation.
Knowledge of Document Management systems, ideally Alfresco
You must be fluent in English with a very good knowledge of syntax and grammar; have excellent writing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences; be a strong team player and initiative-taker; be client-focused; be motivated; have planning and organisational skills; be able to work within very tight deadlines, without compromising on the quality or accuracy of work.
Experience in the financial sector is an advantage.
