Technical Writer - 3 Month Contract - up to $450 Daily

Exciting rare contract opportunity with high profile financial services client.

This role has the specific objective to produce a set of documented instructional guides to a new system being implemented into the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design of a professional document format with screen shots and instructional guides
- Main document to be created using Microsoft Word
- Some document content will be diagrams, to be created using Microsoft Visio
- Will need to be able construct guides as they are being presented through workshops by vendors
- Creation of a template for use in documenting future guides

KEY REQUIREMENTS

- Experience working in a technology (ideally financial systems) environment would be a definite advantage
- Financial services experience highly beneficial
- Ability to write clearly and to explain complicated concepts in clear and easy to understand ways
- Ability to show concepts graphically using appropriate diagram's
- Ability to work with stakeholders
- Visual design skills for document layout and template design
- Understanding of audience perspectives and how to document effectively for different audiences
- Interviewing and listening skills in order to interact with subject matter experts to understand the intent, and gather the required content for the document
- Competence with documentation tools:
- Microsoft Word 2010, including advanced formatting and layout, and use of styles
