TECHNICAL WRITER
MAIN TASKS:
-Writes and updates end User Documentation and Service Documentation in English for client's instruments and software while respecting project requirements and documentation standards.
-Plan, develops, organizes and edits operational procedures for user and service documentation.
-Independently collects information required to produce the documents.
-Cooperates closely with documentation managers, service personnel, trainers, developers and other subject matter experts.
-Organizes documentation reviews by subject matter experts, and implements their input.
-Ensures that quality targets, timelines and regulatory requirements are respected.
-Is enthusiastic about technical writing and contributes to frequent discussions aimed at the continuous improvement of our processes and guidelines.
Requirements:
-Proven experience in technical writing (at least 5 years) for software applications, preferably in a diagnostics business environment.
-Familiarity with laboratory systems and environments
-Proven experience with Adobe FrameMaker (structured) or a similar authoring tool.
-Experience with Schema ST4 or a comparable content management system
-Familiarity with software development processes
-Experience with iterative/agile software development methods, such as scrum, is an advantage.
EDUCATION:
-Apprenticeship and/or undergraduate degree in an electrical, mechanical, information technology or linguistic discipline; a further education eg in technical documentation is a plus.
