Technical Writer

My client is looking for a Contract Technical Writer to work on Wireless Network Engineering and Product Documentation that is published to customers. The duties will include working with the Network Engineers and Technical Writing Group in Korea to plan, develop, review, publish and manage commercial technical documentation for internal and external customers.

Qualified candidates for this position should meet the following requirements:

- 5+ year of Technical Writing experience (preferably technical documentation)
- 2+ years of experience working in a Wireless Network Company or the equivalent.
- BA or BS degree in a related field (preferred)
- Experience working closely in an engineering department to write and rewrite product and engineering documentation to include product descriptions, maintenance manuals, alarm descriptions, software release notes, installation manuals, etc.
- Experience working with Engineers and/or Technical Subject Matter Experts (SME) to develop documentation
- Technical Writing and Publishing Tools: Author-it, Advanced Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop and Microsoft SharePoint
- Work well independently, as well as within an existing team of system engineers, developers, testers, writers and others
- Experience writing clear and concise technical documentation for complex topics
- Experience organizing, structuring, and maintaining large bodies of information
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiar with telecom infrastructure terminology
- Good analytical capabilities and problem solving skills
