Technical Writer

Working with internal organizations to create internal and external online documentation. Use the appropriate editorial/logical methodologies and process management. Write and proof hardcopy and online documents for consistency and accuracy.

POSITION PURPOSE
Facilitate technical knowledge transfer by transposing and converting unstructured, often verbal information into useful and pragmatic job aids and guides. Create and update global policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.

FACILITATES KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER
Create, assimilate, and convey technical material in a concise and effective manner suited for technical audience working in fast pace and demanding environment.
Organizes and creates content by combining existing documentation with experiential work in lab
Streamlines and upkeeps team SharePoint site.
Create process flows to support team activities and engagement models.
Assist in creation of newsletters and reports.

SKILLS:

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
Requires 3-5 years technical writing experience or process documentation experience.
5 years of tech writer or information developer experience
Business analysis or system analyst background is a plus
Learning aptitude and ability to understand complex technical systems quickly
Ability to work in unstructured environment and creating materials on the fly

TECHNICAL SKILLS: MS Office, SHAREPOINT, Adobe CQ5, basic multi-media (Youtube like videos)
