TECHNICAL WRITER REDMOND, WA 9 MONTH CONTRACT

Our very high-visibility client has an opening for a Technical Writer for the creation and publication of documents describing the security patches that the company releases each month.

A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING:

- Write Security Bulletins and Advisories in conformance with any standards, guidelines and/or specifications.
- Maintain operations documentation and templates that support the creation of such bulletins and advisories.
- Assist in managing and scheduling the delivery of bulletins, advisories, and related content.
- Draft, edit, proof, publish, and revise bulletins, advisories and related content from repositories which are reviewed by release partners and peer writers.
- Document and improve standard operating procedures that pertain to the creation of bulletins, advisories, and related content.
- Maintain templates and repositories of bulletin and advisory content.
- Monitor and escalate issues or risks that arise throughout the project to the Security Release PMs and/or the bulletin or advisory PM.
- Maintain logs that control the content of localizations and revisions of bulletins and advisories.
- Maintain logs that control the status of bulletin and advisory projects.

Work is expected during normal business hours throughout the week. Work is expected to be performed at the offices due to the confidential nature of the content, and due to the amount of interpersonal contact with PMs and with the rest of the technical writing team that the work entails.
