Technical Writer

Facilitate technical knowledge transfer between departments by transposing and converting unstructured, often verbal information into useful and pragmatic job aids and guides. The focus of this position will be on functional writing and the incumbent will shadow internal team to develop documents.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Facilitates Knowledge Transfer
- Create, assimilate, and convey technical material in a concise and effective manner suited for technical audience working in fast pace and demanding environment.
- Organizes and creates content by combining existing documentation with experiential work in lab
- Streamlines and upkeeps team SharePoint site.
- Create process flows to support team activities and engagement models.
- Assist in creation of newsletters and reports.
- Will work with technology surrounding POS and mobile equipment.

SKILLS:

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND

- 5 years of tech writer or information developer experience; functional writing is a must
- Business analysis or system analyst background is a plus
- Learning aptitude and ability to understand complex technical systems quickly
- Ability to work in unstructured environment and creating materials on the fly

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

- MS Office, SHAREPOINT, basic multi-media (YouTube-like videos, short videos or animation)
