JOB DUTIES:

- Write the documentation for our open source, cloud, and product releases
- Work with Product Management to understand documentation requirements
- Work with code and other tools to extract comments that will be the basis of the documentation
- Work closely and proactively with developers to understand the features, write sample code and to enhance documentation
- Create product tutorials, demos and sample code from reading the product requirements and design documentation
- Write clean, well-documented sample code and create sample data
- Conduct timely reviews of the documentation for correctness, usability, legal, etc.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Technical writing experience on APIs and articles for product releases
- Writing experience for SDK documentation
- Experience coding with Python, Java languages
- Must have worked on Linux OSs
- Ability to write code sample and demos for inclusion in product release and SDK
- Experience publishing documentation to the web
- Ability to work in a fast moving agile environment

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- Working knowledge of Apache Hadoop a plus
- Database development, deployment and configuration experience a plus
- Advanced Business Intelligence and Analytics knowledge a plus
