Technical Writer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a TECHNICAL WRITER to join our client located in Bellevue, WA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Follow guidance from the lead tech writer to provide quality cohesive deliverables.
- Provide innovative suggestions for process/documentation/presentation improvement.
- Work closely with subject matter experts to collect and organize application data for presentation on the new SharePoint based Enterprise Systems Applications Knowledge Base.
- Transform highly technical data points and content into easily consumable and actionable information.
- Develop flow, ladder, and other types of Visio diagrams that visually explain system and architecture concepts.
- Collaborate effectively with technical managers, systems architects, and software developers.
- Help create consistent standards that can be applied to multiple applications and systems.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- One to three (1-3) years of technical writing experience in technology based companies.
- Four (4) year degree in communication or related field, or technical communication certification.
- Must be very eager, driven, energetic, and thrive on producing high-quality deliverables on time in a fast-paced and very agile environment.
- Understand highly technical Lingo and be able to communicate it clearly to the target audience.
- Familiarity with development organizations, processes, and SDLCs.
- Experience producing detailed technical documents (preferably for developers).
- Impeccable communication skills both oral and written.
- Work independently and to professional standards.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Expert in MS Word, Visio, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Technical writing experience within the Telecom or IT Industry is highly desirable.
- Experience with SharePoint highly desirable.
- Programming experience is preferred.
- Experience with HTML and CSS is preferred .
