Technical Writer

For this contract position with a world renowned company, you will be formatting and editing hardware and software documentation written by Content Developers (Technical Marketing and Development Engineering), using standard templates in Word and FrameMaker. Also you will be publishing to content management and documentation delivery tools (ie Anacapa, IBP).

REQUIREMENTS

- 5+ years' experience and mid-to-senior level expertise
- Expertise with Adobe FrameMaker on a Windows-based PC (FM version 8 - 10)
- Knowledge of bookbuilding, Conditional Text, Variables and FrameScript
- Experience using database publishing tools and processes desired: CMS, DITA, XML
- Apply Adobe Acrobat skills
- Expertise with Microsoft Word, Visio PowerPoint, and Excel
- Ability to create and/or edit technical and non-technical illustrations and graphics

NICE TO HAVE

- PVCS Tracker or other bug tracking software
- Anacapa
- CDI/IBL

Estimated length of assignment: 26 weeks preferred
