TECHNICAL TEST ANALYST - THE HAGUE (EUR330-EUR400)

Exciting opportunity to work for a prestigious EU organisation in The Hague.

We are on the outlook for an exceptional Technical Test Analyst with at least 5 recent years of experience in conducting functional testing.

This is a long-term contract of work with real possibilities of contract renewal. You could stay working for years and years as a contractor/freelancer!

DESCRIPTION 

- Conduct independent test analysis, design and execution of functional and technical tests using available testing tools;
- Contribute to acceptance testing (UAT/OAT) of in-house/outsourced developed applications based on commercial-off-the-shelf products;
- Design, execute and maintain automated and manual test scripts and related test data;
- Design/execute non-functional testing with respect to efficiency, reliability, monitoring or maintainability of applications;
- Support data migration testing by assessing suitability of underlying data migration scripts and creating representative test data. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in conducting functional testing

The candidate must at least have experience in 2 out of the 3 following testing requirements:
- Either - a minimum 6 months of experience in conducting efficiency testing
- OR - a minimum 6 months of experience in conducting data migration testing
- OR - a minimum 6 months of experience in conducting systems integration testing

- Working knowledge of English (level B2)
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in designing, coding and executing automated API tests of REST services
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in testing JAVA based enterprise solutions
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in testing enterprise solutions running on Linux/Unix 

MANDATORY EXPERIENCE: 

- Knowledge of testing on system and acceptance test level using dynamic, static and experience-based test techniques.
- Knowledge of how to:

o determine suitable test approaches;
o compose suitable Test Documentation;
o define suitable acceptance criteria;
o review structurally work products from other teams.

- Knowledge of how to design and execute complex systems integration or data migration tests
- Knowledge of how to design, code and execute functional automated API tests on REST services 

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

- Knowledge of how to conduct efficiency testing of software applications
- Knowledge of how to design, code and execute functional automated tests on applications based on a micro-service architecture or running in containers
- Knowledge of Enterprise Analysis tools (eg IBM iBase, Palantir Gotham or similar)
- Knowledge of ISEB/ISTQB13 terminology, (demonstrated by passing the relevant certification exam(s)
- Knowledge of Linux Shell commands
- Knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of testing the following Software Quality Characteristics: Functionality, Technical Security, Usability, Efficiency, Reliability & Maintainability
