Technical Test Analyst - RISK Systems (C++, Windows, SQL) - Sydney

THE COMPANY

Our client is a leading global financial markets organization with an office here in Sydney and in multiple locations abroad. They have a reputation for innovative use of cutting edge technologies for financial markets analytics. Due to the continued success locally and abroad they have seen significant growth in their client base and as such, are looking to build out (and upon) their IT team by securing the services of a Technical Test Analyst with Test Automation skills, the ability to code in an OO language (ideally C++) and experience working with financial (ideally markets) applications preferably running in a Microsoft (Windows) environment.

THE ROLE

This diverse, multifaceted role will see you working with global teams across support and development (incl. testing) to maintain and continually improve a cutting edge, Risk (Credit, Market, Counterparty) Management System for a range of high profile clients across the globe. The environment is predominantly a Microsoft shop and thus an emphasis on finding ambitious Testing technologists with exposure to Windows Server platforms, SQL Server RDMS and financial applications (ideally Risk or Trading platforms) built in C++ (ideally) but any OO language (Java, C#) is still relevant.

Other key points of interest for our client are intermediate level technologists who are driven and ambitious and also those who have a holistic understanding of the applications they support.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:

- 4-5+ years' Technical Testing experience within financial services (ideally markets).
- Current/recent experience testing & supporting Risk and/or Trading Systems suites.
- The ability to code from scratch in an OO (Object Oriented) language: C++, C#, Java etc
- Experience with Test Automation, Performance, Load, Stress testing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have unrestricted Australian working rights (Aus Cit, PR), based in Australia (essential).
- Experience with version control systems (SVB, Subversion).
- Bachelor Degree Business (relevant Major), Business Sys/Computer Science, Economics.
- Previous Experience working for a Technology Vendor or Consultancy (highly desirable).
