Technical Team Leader - ICT

Fixed Term Contract - expected to be 18 months - dependent upon the return of the post holder from secondment

Essex County Fire & Rescue have a vacancy for an experienced Technical Team Leader with proven experience of working as part of a technical team.  You will have strong people and organisational management experience to head up a team of Senior Technical Officers and Technical Officers.

Taking responsibility for the design, procurement, installation, upgrading, operation, control, maintenance (including storage and communication of data, voice, text, audio and images) and effective use of IT infrastructure components and monitors their performance, you would provide technical management of an IT operation, ensuring that agreed service levels are met and all relevant procedures are adhered to.

The ICT team are based at the Service Headquarters which has excellent facilities and is conveniently located on the A12 near Kelvedon. There is a commitment to professional training for all of the ICT Team. The salary for this role is £34,549 - £40,000, the Local Government Grade is PO3 (SCP 41 - 43).  This includes a market supplement which will be reviewed on an annual basis and we offer flexible working and the opportunity to join the Local Government Pension Scheme.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week, 08.30 - 17.00 Monday - Thursday, 08.30 - 16.30 Friday.
